About Beatrice Basso

Beatrice Basso is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner® dedicated to helping individuals reconnect with their bodies and move with greater ease and awareness. Through her gentle, awareness-based approach, she guides clients in discovering new possibilities for movement, reducing strain, and enhancing their overall well-being. Beatrice's work is grounded in presence and curiosity, emphasizing that small shifts in awareness can lead to meaningful transformations in how we navigate life.

Your Life is a Sacred Journey

The Feldenkrais® Method of somatic education uses gentle movement and directed attention to help people learn new and more effective ways of living the life they want. You can increase your ease and range of motion, improve your flexibility and coordination, and rediscover your innate capacity for graceful, efficient movement. Since how you move is how you move through life, these improvements will often enhance your thinking, emotional regulation, and problem-solving capabilities.

The Feldenkrais® Method is based on principles of physics, biomechanics, and an empirical understanding of learning and human development. Moshe Feldenkrais said, “We move according to our perceived self-image.” By expanding your perception and increasing awareness, you will become more aware of your habits and tensions and develop new ways of moving. By increasing sensitivity, the Feldenkrais® Method assists you to live your life more fully, efficiently, and comfortably.

You can experience the Feldenkrais® Method® in two ways. Awareness Through Movement® lessons are taught in a group setting, with students following the verbal instructions of the teacher. Functional Integration® sessions are one on one lessons where the fully clothed student is guided through touch, movement and verbal instruction.

Yoga

Yoga is an ancient practice that connects the mind, body, and spirit through body poses, controlled breathing, and meditation. Classes are geared to emphasize mindful movement and breathing and are designed to warm, strengthen and stretch every major muscle group and move every joint through a full range of motion, closing with a cool down and savasana, a final relaxation exercise with guided meditation.

T’ai Chi Chih

T'ai Chi Chih is a set of 19 movements and one pose completely focused on the development of an intrinsic energy called chi. T'ai Chi Chih is also known as "Joy in Movement" and the "Effort of no effort" because it is done softly and gently and requires no athletic ability or dexterity and can be done standing or from a seated position.
